HOT DOG, GET YOUR HOT DOG!
Miss yesterday’s Coney Island eating contest?  Worry not…
When I think of July 4th in New York,Coney Island comes to mind. There are so many fun things to do, but who can forget about the hot dog eating contest. Tourists are told that it can’t be missed, but I’m not so sure that my stomach can handle it. This photograph from the 1930s is a classic! If you’re jumping on a boat like this happy group make sure to hold on. If not, eat a hot dog or two for me… I’ll be staying away from them.
Photograph, ca. 1930. Collection of Yeshiva University Museum (1999.117).
