THAT’S ONE HOT CUP OF SYNAGOGUE… TO GO, RIGHT?
We noticed this fascinating piece on the Tumblr site for the Malaysian artist koeyw who does terrifically well conceived and fanciful work on seemingly any surface.  In this piece—which we’ve since inquired about—koeyw depicts a building, 28 Nagore street, which used to house a synagogue in Penang, now an office building and the same building where the artist works.  The artist piece includes a sketch of the building and brief, decorated history of its use as a synagogue.  We’ll keep looking for koeyw’s work!
Thanks so much koeyw!  We look forward to seeing this in person.

Heritage building. The one and only synagogue in Penang.
